Learn how to be your own boss, while making new friends and contacts, in Norway’s beautiful Bergen on our DMU Global ‘Future Freelancers’ trip in February 2026!
This exciting winter adventure will strengthen vital freelancing self-employment skills including:
- Social Media and Personal Branding
- Networking
- Teamwork
During your stay in the trendy coastal City of Bergen, you will visit a Norwegian university, as well as local employers and co-working spaces. You will also take part in two interactive, fun workshops, delivered by the DMU Made team.
In your free time you will be able to explore Norway’s stunning scenery, sample the renowned ‘Scandi’ culture and way of life (think saunas and outdoor heated swimming pools with sea views!), and search for the famous Northern Lights. Bergen is also a hub of sustainability and ethical living, areas which the trip will strongly draw upon. This trip is open to all current DMU students, but may be of particular interest to those studying Creative subjects.
This trip is open to all current DMU students. Places are strictly limited, and we recommend applying early. You can also receive £200 from DMU towards the cost of the trip.
Student Testimonial (from Bergen 2025 trip): “I found the experience brilliant for developing professionalism and general knowledge of entrepreneurship. It was great to learn about the Norwegian culture as well as the Norwegian work style” Bella, 2nd Year Design Crafts student
