The 'Make Space' is now home to the DMU Made Studio - and all current students and recent graduates (from the last two years) are encouraged to use it.
It's a brilliant space where students bring in their own materials and equipment (from sewing machines to drawing kit) and get busy, working on their own side-hustles, freelancing ventures or creative projects.
Also in the space, hot-desk PC's, which students and recent graduates are very welcome to make use of. They're equipped with lots of useful software, including;
Microsoft Office
Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Audition, Digital Editions
Arduino IDE
BioDRAW
Clone Manager
Enterprise Architect
Equatio
Inspiration
Krita
MindGenius
MindView
MiniTab
Python
R Studio
You don't need to pre-book the space, just come on in and use it. It's always open in-line with the Kimberlin Library opening times, meaning in the summer it's available 7am - 10pm.
No matter what you study or studied, you are welcome to use it.
Throughout the week, members of the DMU Made team will be in the space as well. If you would like support with anything to do with freelancing, self-employment or entrepreneurialism, book a one-to-one appointment with us through My-Gateway and we'll be happy to help.
Soon, we'll be hosting practical workshops in the space, too.
Until then, for more information on upcoming events, programmes and competitions including our free online Summer School, see http://www.dmumade.com/take-part
The Make Space is open all Summer long, we look forward to seeing you in there very soon!
