If you are a current UK home student or EU Student with settlement status, there are two new opportunities you can choose from. You may participate in….
Option 1: DMU GLOBAL OPPORTUNITY
We invite you to join us in Tallinn & Helsinki in the week of 8 June 2026 to learn more about entrepreneurship, freelancing and startups. This trip has a special price of just £153! The rest of the costs will be covered by a DMU Global Bursary £150 and a DMU Made Grant of £150.
To be eligible, you must be a UK student and you must provide us with a Unique Tax Reference (UTR) number proving you have registered as a Sole Trader, or have registered a business since July 2025. There is no cost to register, just google ‘Register as a Sole Trader at gov.uk’. Applications are open between now and 9am on Monday 2 February, 2026.

Option 2: FREE Programme: Freelancing in the Creative Industries. Earn a £200 Startup Grant!
Learn about being self-employed in fine art, graphic design, animation, film or similar
Interested in freelancing in Creative Industries, either alongside your studies or as a future career? This free 4-week programme, including Workshops, co-working sessions and a Conference, is open to all students and recent graduates., and you will receive a Certificate of Completion for attending at least 3 of the Workshops. It will also be added to your HEAR record.
We have 20 spaces on the programme and each participant will receive a £200 DMU Made Startup Grant. Terms and conditions apply.
